Oh well my Steelers went down but still a great year for a transition. Mike Tomlin is a great choice to take the Steelers to another SuperBowl in the future but he can't have Big Ben run the ball like he did in the playoffs. BAD MOVE!!!

US coach for Ekiden Relays in Chiba, Japan

I haven`t updated in a long while so I decided this morning in Tokyo to do it while sitting on the 48th floor of the hotel overlooking the Tokyo Bay. I was chosen to help with this years team at the Ekiden Relays. I really didn`t know what to expect because I`ve never been before but all I can say is the people from Japan know how to put on an event. I was fortunate to come over in 93-94 to run the Tokyo 1/2 and it was incredible then but now its even better. The US team has been a pleasure to work with and I`m looking forward to watching them race in a few hours. I`ll update the blog after the race with the results.

Mike Long R.I.P.

My friend and a friend too many Mike Long passed away suddenly this morning at his home San Diego. I met Mike years ago at Rosie's in New York City. He was a man that made everyone feel good. When you hung out with Mike you were always laughing or smiling. Over the last few years I spent quite a bit of time with him at Elite races and saw first hand how many people he touched. He worked extremely hard and did everything in his power to make everyone around him happy. I'm pretty sure he's looking down on everyone right now with that big smile saying "get on with it and go enjoy your life!"

2007 All Star Distance Camp canceled
